Useful Beauty Tips for 2011

Hey lovelies!
So I want to share with you some useful  beauty tips for 2011.

~Skin~
-The key to beautiful skin is find the appropriate skin cleanser and moisturizer for you skin type. Stay within your budget by finding one that is good for both in the morning and in the evening

-It is vital to give you skin a rest! Take at least a day or two where you either use a tinted moisturizer or go bare! During you make-up days off make sure and do a purifying face mask.

-A great skin softener that you probably already have in your home is olive oil. Use it in the bath or shower. But please be careful when you get out , it will be slippery!

-Exfoliating is soooo important. You can make your own sugar scrub to use in the shower. It's super easy to make and smells yummy under the warm water. **Post coming soon on how to make it**

~Make-Up~
-When your just running to the store and don't have time for a full face of make up? Apply your favorite tinted moisturizer, then apply a light coat of mascara and lip gloss and your on your way!

-To achieve a more natural looking full set of eyelashes, apply a set of lower lash (false eye lashes) to your upper lid. This will give you a more natural look that you can use for daytime looks.

-Wanna know a quick and easy way to get liquid liner right every time? Try this technique. I call it connect-the-dots! (Well more like dashes) apply 3 dash along your lash line. One is the inner corner, one in the middle, and lastly, your outer corner. Then go through with a steady hand and connect the dashes. This will produce a even line for your liquid liner. (I go this technique from an article in Marie Claire)

-An affordable way to get many different lip gloss colors is to purchase cheap lip liners from Walgreen's or the $1 store. Line and partially fill your lips, then apply clear gloss. You will then have endless possibilities!

I hope you all of you can find some of this useful! If you have any questions, email me!

Hard Candy's Sheer Evy Foundation Primer Review

Hi Lovelies!
So I wanted to share with you a product that is absolutely without a shadow essential to my everyday make up routine! Hard Candy's Sheer Envy foundation primer. My Bestie actually turned me on to this product and I love it!!!  So naturally I am going to share it with you!

About the Product
It is a foundation primer. It is super light (which I love). This product smooths the skin. It gives your foundation the perfect canvas!! A little goes a Loooonnnnnngggg way with this stuff.

Purchase Again?
I have just finished off my first tube and already bought another.

Where can I Purchase this Product?
I have only been able to find the Hard Candy products in Wal-Mart.
You can also visit them online @ http://www.hardcandy.com/

Price?
The primer is $6. It's worth every penny.

Mrs Lavelle's Thoughts on the Product...
It's love at first use. This stuff feels like velvet when it comes out of the tube! It is super light and smooth. It's easy to apply. When using this primer I don't get oily nor does my face "run" or "melt". I live in Arizona and I began using this primer in the middle of the summer and realized a major difference. It withstood 115 degree weather. In the summer I was able to get about 10 hrs worth of wear ( full face make-up). During the winter I am able to get 12-14 hours worth of wear. So this lovelies primer is a must have!

Your mission, if you choose to accept it...
Try it! Let me know what you think!

**There will be a lot more reviews on this company's products!!***

~The Snow Flake Look~

Hi my beautiful lovelies! So my inspiration for this look is Snow Flakes. This look was super simple and I only used 2 colors believe it or not! The colors I used for this look can be found in the E.L.F 100 color palette! Mrs Lavelle is in LOOOVVVEEE with this palette. I will post a review soon! But let me say the only thing I love more than the colors is the price $10 !!!!!!

Yes, you read it right $10!

The only colors used are white and a sea foam blue/green color.
I also used the creme eye shadow stick by Wet-N-Wild in the color Pixie as a base.

Welcome!

Welcome Everyone!
My name is Mrs. Lavelle, and this is my beauty blog! I have decided to create beauty on a budget to share my cheap beauty finds and ways to get the most out of these finds. We all have been affected by the current state of our economy. The first things that people cut out of their budget is all the "Extras". However, I have found a way to stay looking fabulous without breaking the bank. All of the products that I use are known  as "drugstore" or affordable products. I am on a budget as well and cannot afford MAC, Urban Decay, or Smash Box products. I am not a make-up artist and nor do I receive any money or perks for my opinoins on these products. I am a regular woman just wanting to share my gift for finding deals with all of you!

The goal of this blog is to talk about many different things such as:
Cosmetics
Hair
Plus Size Fashion
and much more...

There is no format to this blog I am flying by the seat of my pants! LOL... But I would like to all of you to  please share your input with me... Also I am open to questions and suggestions so email me!

Let's stay positive and beautiful!

There is more to follow... See you all soon lovelies!
